The Reality (The Orchestration Layer): In the 400 milliseconds of silence between those two sentences, the following flow was orchestrated:

Translation: Routed audio to a Speech-to-Text partner (Deepgram/Google) to get the transcript.

Orchestration: Bundled the transcript + the user's name + the state laws for Maryland -> Sent packet to the LLM (Gemini).

Reverse Translation: Took the LLM's text response -> Sent to Text-to-Speech engine (ElevenLabs).

The Takeaway: The AI-Driven LLM was the secret sauce and provided an enormous advantage over a Human call, however the workload required for that component was 5% at best. The Integration Layer and data orchestration carried the balance of the workload (moving, verifying, converting, and delivering the data).
